Purpose
HACO proudly supports five Hmong dance groups, with 45–60 talented students performing throughout the community each year. These dancers help celebrate and share Hmong culture through both traditional and contemporary performances across Oregon.
Thanks to the Rise Up Community Enhancement Grant, HACO is able to provide funding for studio space, supplies, and cultural attire, ensuring dancers have the resources they need to practice and perform at their best.
This program would not be possible without the dedication of our dance instructors, who generously volunteer their time, passion, and skills throughout the year to mentor and guide our youth.
This year, we hope to host a fall retreat, bringing dancers and instructors together under one roof. The retreat will give participants the chance to showcase their work, identify dancers interested in mentorship or teaching, connect with other teams, and celebrate all their hard work.
